Xiaojuan Duan

Associate Professor of the Piano Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, master's tutor, executive director of the Sichuan Piano Society, and consultant of the European International Art Education Association.

In 1997, she won the sixth place in the juvenile category of the China Youth Double Piano Competition. In 2000, she was selected into the "Music Bridge" summer camp in Mount Royal, Canada. In 2002, she won fourth place in the Beethoven Sonata category at the 12th Hong Kong Asian Piano Open. 

In June 2006, she successfully held a solo concert, which was widely praised by professionals from all walks of life. In the same year, she successfully obtained a master's degree from the Piano Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music with first place in the major. In May 2007, a concert for Sichuan Music pianists and students to assist the disabled was held.

The students she advises have won awards in domestic and foreign competitions and have won the Outstanding Instructor Award many times. For example: Best Instructor Award at the 5th China-Singapore International Music Competition in 2011. In 2013, she won the Best Instructor Award at the 6th Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition. In 2019, she won the Outstanding Tutor Award in the professional group of the 6th German Oumler (Qingdao) International Piano Open Finals. The 8th KJC Asia International Arts Festival Outstanding Instructor Award in 2021. 2021 Asian International Youth Piano Invitational Competition Zhuhai Finals Outstanding Piano Teaching Instructor Award. Outstanding Instructor Award in the Piano Group of the 6th International Music Olympiad in 2022. The 2022 Second Sichuan-Shaanxi-E Conservatory of Music’s “Excellent Talent Plan” Outstanding Instructor Award, etc.

Published multiple papers, two of which were published in national Chinese core journals. She serves as the chief editor and publishes the textbook "Selected Piano Pieces of Grundal" published by Guizhou People's Publishing House.
